Facebook Feature Will Make Your Job Application Easier & Will Get To Recruit At Ease

Facebook has now enabled companies with facebook pages to post job openings directly on the social media site. The "Apply for this job" tab was rolled out on the 15th of this month and it is free for use to all companies with facebook pages. The feature comes as integration to social site that is accessible through workable and it has proved a success in its testing phase which began in November last year as well as the early days of its inception. A couple of small businesses that have made use of the feature have been reporting success with the platform.

The integration automatically updates a job's tab on the company's facebook page with open positions and it automatically tracks candidates who apply though facebook. The feature will not limit its reach to potential candidates, other users can like, share, and comment on the opening.

Listing a job on a page with the job features enabled and filling out its details for an employer will approximately take under five minutes and can be done in these three simple steps through admin access on the page;

1. Introduce the posting

2. Add three of the required details

3. Include a salary range

4. Fill any other relevant data using up to 5000 characters

5. Preview and publish post.

Candidates for the job will find the job listing on their facebook news feed or by visiting the company's page job section and can start to apply for the post by clicking the 'Apply for this job' tab which will take them to a pre-data filled form that gets submitted through facebook messenger.

With facebook jobs feature, companies can soon drive more traffic to their facebook pages while allowing them to pay for the social network to get their job openings in front of their candidates. And it has also been predicted that the feature should be able to capture the smaller businesses which make up the majority of the startup world. Due to this feature facebook has also drawn comparisons to WeChat, which is less like a social network and more like a complete internet on its own. And an argument has also been made apparent on whether facebook will takeover LinkedIn and become the most renowned professional recruitment site with regard to its huge numbers of users (1,79 billion) to LinkedIn's (467 million). Other top recruitment sites like Indeed and Craiglist, have been presupposed to face a stiffer challenge in the face of the development.
